The ordinary moments we almost overlook, often become the campfire stories we treasure most.
There's a reason you get the warm fuzzies, thinking about fall, bonfires, and pumpkin spice everything.
Experiences. Smells. A Feeling.
Those moments, whether it's catching fireflies or Friday Night Lights, they turn to memory and some memories are worth remembering forever.
Writing gives them words.
Videos give them motion.
Freedom gives us the ability to do any of it.
Faith gives them meaningful purpose and thankfulness.
The campfire gives us a place to reminisce...
But Photography- it preserves them.
A photo on the wall, in a photo album, or on the refrigerator, freezes that memory. A fleeting moment of time- a joyful playback.
I enjoy turning ordinary moments into extraordinary memories.
Framing a moment- paying attention to the details- looking past the trees and seeing what's in the forest- what feral adventure awaits.
The memories you hang on the wall are the moments and experiences that take you back for a moment, every time you pass that canvas in the living room.
Whether it be a moment your child took flight on a dirtbike, scored the winning touchdown, found an arrowhead in the creek, or graduated Kindergarten- from high to low, big to small, simple to complex- moments are memories and memories are experiences that shape who we are.
